The DGFT code that clears your first shipment — one-time, lifetime-valid, issued in days when the application is clean.
Starts at ₹1,999 + government fees, if any
The Import Export Code is a 10-digit DGFT registration (now your PAN, activated for trade) mandatory for importing or exporting goods — and required by banks for inward/outward trade remittances. It is one-time, has no periodic returns, and needs only an annual electronic confirmation between April and June to stay active.
Service exporters technically need it only when claiming certain benefits, but banks ask anyway — most agencies and SaaS firms billing abroad get it for friction-free remittances. We file on the DGFT portal, handle the fee (₹500 government), and calendar the annual April–June confirmation that most holders forget — lapsed IECs stall shipments at the worst times.
