FilingBase (“we”, “us”), a venture of LexVerge LLP, operates filingbase.in. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal data under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the confidentiality obligations that bind chartered accountants and advocates.

What we collect

• Contact details you submit through forms — name, phone, email, city — used to respond to your enquiry and deliver services.
• Service documents you upload for engagements — identity, address, financial and business documents required for government filings.
• Technical data — basic server logs (IP, pages requested) used for security and performance. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.

How we use it

• To perform the services you engage us for, including preparing and submitting filings to government portals (MCA, GSTN, Income Tax, IP India and similar), which act as independent data fiduciaries.
• To communicate about your orders — status updates, deadline reminders, and responses to your questions.
• To meet our own legal obligations, including record-keeping required of professional firms.

What we don’t do

We do not sell personal data. We do not share your documents with anyone beyond the professionals working on your engagement and the government portals your filings go to. Marketing communication is optional and unsubscribable.

Storage & security

Documents are stored on access-controlled systems, encrypted in transit, and retained for the period professional and tax regulations require (typically 8 years for filing records), after which they are deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data (subject to statutory retention duties), and may withdraw consent for non-essential processing. Write to our team and we will respond within 30 days. Grievances are escalated to the firm’s grievance officer at LexVerge LLP.
